Beware of Frauds soliciting money via UPI payment methods

In order to educate and inform our partners, we have elaborated on some fraudulent incidents we have come across. We request you to read them carefully and beware of such incidents.

1) Impersonating Army personnel
In our experience, a user operating with several numbers under is impersonating an Indian Army personnel, using Google Pay to carry out transactions on the pretext of transferring advance payment and is deducting the amount from your bank account.

Please Note: We request all our vendors to be careful and be vigilant in such cases and report them immediately. We suggest you all only use bank transfers methods such as NEFT and RTGS for all your business transactions, as much as possible.

In case you are a premium partner we encourage you to use WedPay, a transparent payment system designed by WedMeGood, to give all premium partners access to a convenient & cost-effective way to accept advance payments from their customers without having to worry about fraud.

2) External Agencies:
In such cases, some external agencies make false commitments to the vendor about being hired for providing services for renowned singers/artists and request them to transfer some amount as a guarantee to confirm their presence. They also urge them to book their flight tickets, the amount for which is promised to be reimbursed later.

Please Note: WedMeGood has absolutely no association with any such agency. We do not endorse/ preferentially treat any external brand. Any possible claims made of preferential treatment are completely unethical, and we’d request you to do a proper background check of such users at your end before making the payments.

3) Impersonating WMG professionals:
Some individuals are getting in touch with professionals, using our brand name, selling packages, and soliciting money by claiming to be an official WMG representative. In our experience, people like Shrey Choraria +918376994139, pretend to be WMG representatives and make fake bookings. Please keep in mind the below-mentioned points before making any payment for WedMeGood.

1. After a representative gets in touch with you with a business proposition, they will send a proposal email.

2. Do not trust emails from any other email address. You will always receive emails from an Official WedMeGood Account, for eg: xyz@wedmegood.com

3. All monetary transactions would be done with the official company account i.e., WMG Tech Pvt. Ltd.

On the payment link, you will always find WedMeGood’s official logo.

We aim to ensure fraudulent activities do not occur with our vendor partners and we are working on creating a mechanism to handle spam/frauds with ease.
